Campus Wireless Network Changes

Opus College of Engineering faculty, staff and students:

On Tuesday, July 31, IT Services will re-configure the Wi-Fi networks across the Marquette campus. If you use any wireless devices, they will need to be setup for the new wireless network configurations. The existing wireless network names (MU_Wireless, MU_Student and MU_Admin) will be replaced with new network names as follows:

MU Secure
Single secure wireless network for all faculty, staff, and students to use. Connect personally and university owned computers, phones, and tablets to this network for internet and campus electronic resources.

MU Guest
Guests (visitors, alumni, vendors, etc.) will be able to self-register and access the internet.

MU Open
A special wireless network that allows “headless” devices such as robots, drones, and media devices to connect to the internet.  Students may use this network to connect game consoles and media streaming devices.

Eduroam
Visitors from participating eduroam institutions can connect to the internet — without the need for guest credentials.
This wireless service also entitles Marquette faculty and staff using eMarq credentials access to the internet at 500+ universities around the world. For a list of participating universities, please visit: https://www.eduroam.us/institutions_list

Detailed connection instructions will be provided on Monday, July 30.  Please contact Opus College of Engineering Technology Services with any questions or concerns.
